North American DJ breaks record for longest steady set
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A Kentucky DJ has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous live DJ set after spinning for 10 straight days.
WAVE-TV reports that Chauncey Graves, whose professional name is DJ Colossus, officially smashed the record at 1 p.m. Sunday, having begun his set Thursday, April 20 in Louisville.
Graves was allowed a five-minute break for each hour accomplished.
The previous record was held by DJ Obi of Nigeria, whose 2016 set went for precisely 240 hours. Graves DJed for three hours and 56 seconds before hitting that mark.
Guinness will confirm the outcome in the upcoming weeks.
