After 28 years living in Kamloops, we finally hit Bailey’s. Our kitchen has been ripped out so it’s a chance to eat at local establishments. We enjoyed our mid afternoon lunch. The server was a sprightly 20 years old and helpful and attentive. Lots of bright windows to bring in the sunny day. Tons of TVs going with sports. 2 parking lots. We’ll be baaaack.
It was our social club appy night and there was a fair amount of members attending.
It became very busy around dinner time. Our server was a young lady who did a fairly good job of serving our tables and bringing our orders to us.
I had ordered the fish (one piece)and chips. The fish was minced and had no taste and the coating was too hard and crusty. Chips were average….generous portion though.
The waitress did not bring us our bills after so we had to go up to bar and pay.
Overall is good atmosphere but being a smaller pub can get fairly noisy when there is a lot of people. Typical of pubs though.
My services are pretty terrible food little chili overcooked Rush to have my second drink had all the orders ready waiting for my date to arrive I go outside for a cigarette and wait for my day to get out of here my date shows up I’m ready to go back to the side to my table where dinner should be sitting it was all cleaned up like I was done here for the evening threw my food out that’s why I bought my day did I’d come to an empty cable so I stepped outside for 10 minutes waiting for my date and to have a smoke they refused to pay me back said that we couldn’t have another drink cuz we were getting angry we were having my whole order was thrown out $ $60 bill what did you hear….. So we’re asked to leave reason for getting hostile because we asked for another order of food and order drinks which they was already on the table and they threw away The refused I request and sent us all on our way so my time at Bailey’s pub was a date b*******
The reason why I’m giving the pub 3 stars, is because me and my boyfriend went there twice and we enjoyed it, as so we thought. We go there again around 7pm and we were excited to play trivia but then our waitress comes up to us and says “the other night, you were acting inappropriate and immature.” That’s the short term, anyways we ask how so and they said “I tried to take their taco holder, etc” and that’s wrong because I didn’t know it was in there and when she informed me, I immediately gave it back and apologized. I don’t understand the inappropriate part when we had a guy named Peter, comes up to me and pulls me in and starts kissing my hand but I guess that isn’t inappropriate. There’s more to the story but I’d appreciate it if our waitress from that night, would come and tell us directly instead of sending another waitress.
Phenomenal service and the food was soooo good. Honestly whats not to love about this place. 100% will be back.
