Title: Not for vinyl/analogue mixing – Phono pre-amp low sound quality
Review: Only for digital mixing, not for analogue vinyl mixing, unless you like poor sound quality that is.I like how this mixer is very digitally compatible; I haven’t used the DVS feature yet but have used it with both Rekordbox and also with Vinyl turntables. My turntables have both a Phono out and a Line out, and I have tried each to compare the sound quality because I thought sound was hollow and poor for vinyl. The Phono Pre-amp in this mixer has very poor sound quality and lacks middle frequency.
There is even a thread on the Pioneer forum where a rep agrees that the pre-amp is of low sound quality, that is after being rude, denying it and arguing with customers.I bought this mixer to use with my vinyl turntables with the option to expand later to digital. To get good sound from my vinyl, I have to run my turntables into the ‘Line in’ inputs. This takes away my option of adding CDJ’s or similar and utilizing 4 channels and the aux in.Unfortunately I have opened the software and am too near to the end of return period so I can’t possibly return now and am just going to have to make do and not think about the x.one that should have been.

Review: El sonido de un Pioneer es excelente, es un mixer pequeño entonces si usas algún controlador como el Traktor x1, puedes ponerlos juntos y tienes una mesa de mezcla super funcional!!! es lo que yo hice y estoy muy contento.

Review: ATTN: This mixer is intended for use with Rekordbox DJ/DVS. If you plan to use this mixer for Serato, I would suggest buying the DJM-S3 instead as it is identical but supports the Serato DJ software. You can however, use this as a regular analog mixer and even connect a serato interface box (SL2, SL3, etc) to the line in ports. As for the Pioneer DJ mixer DJM-250MK2, this is an AMAZING bedroom mixer for the money and a great way to get into Rekordbox DJ.
I say “bedroom” mixer but you could take this out to gigs without any issues and get quality sound. The only reason I say this is better for practice at home is because there is no booth outputs. To me, this is a minor issue since the other features heavily outweigh the one flaw. The included Rekordbox DJ and DVS license alone is a value of $230. Combine this with a pro scratch fader, filter knobs, MIDI control, XLR outputs and a built-in sound card, no other mixer can compete at this price point.
