Just attended a playnow sports private event for viewing the Canucks playoff game 1 ..the space was the perfect size and the crowd was electric..hats off to playnow for making the game special. The food was excellent and it’s keeping with pub and game food was perfect

I want to start by saying that the event I went to at this location was awesome. The staff were friendly and the vibes were great. What really coloured my negative experience here was having one of the bar tenders add a 20% percent tip to my bill without consultation (I wasn’t in a large party, nowhere did it mention auto gratuity, this bill was for a single drink). Not only is this aggressive, it’s dishonest. As a server myself I was disappointed and worried for others who may not notice. I hope this was a one off and can be reflected upon for future events.

I recently attended an event here and had a pretty great time. The food was fantastic, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
The space itself was perfect for our function and everyone had a great time. The reason I’m giving a 2 star rating is simply because of something the bar did that I consider a little bit shady. It was a walk up cash bar service, but they implemented a pretty hefty non optional auto gratuity on each transaction and didn’t tell anyone. I’ve never experienced an auto gratuity for something other than a sit down dinner service, so this was a bit weird and suspect.

I booked my micro wedding reception here and LOVED it. the space itself was super sleek and minimal. I loved that the decor and space was all dark and nothing stood out allowing it all to match very seamlessly with my wedding decor. space and vibe 10/10 you don’t even need much decor if you are doing an event here.the food was amazing! we didn’t have a sit down dinner – just passed apps but all amazing.the events manager carley was the best. she is who we worked with for booking and day of things and she ensured everything was perfect. she is so kind and sweet and actually surprised us on our wedding night with our names out on the Studio sign on Granville!! she went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect night and we did!!!highly recommend!!!
