This Hall is a gem. We came into town to hear this community choir…(Outside Voices). The place was full. It was a fun and positive evening. There were many local people who had chosen to come….and the entertainment had real humans on stage… it was real…not off a screen!!

Always an intimate experience to see live music! Low tech at the door FYI, decent options for such a small bar, cleaner floors than you’d expect, chill staff, and it’s always easy to find parking nearby. I like that they have some seating along the wall for those with reduced mobility. I love seeing shows at this venue. Casual like a dive…but tidy! I only wish they had a food truck or something for food nearby.

For anyone who cares, I am the bartender in question that Zac Callaghan wrote his review about. We take a deposit for darts because often drunk people break them and they’re expensive to replace. Zac and his friends were playing “extreme darts” and throwing the darts at the floor/wall/each other. When they returned them they were broken, so I kept the deposit for our dart fund, which is the point of the deposit. Zac became irate and started yelling and swearing about it, so he was asked to leave. Just wanted to clear that up. It’s unfortunate that we share the same last name lol

I really enjoyed this venue. Has an oriental vibe, bar was fair priced too. Unfortunate your in a residential area so had to be quite outside the venue. Had a great night all the same, definitely recommend seeing live music here!

Small, cozy venue in Vancouver (East side). Just attended a concert there and enjoyed the experience. On opposite side of the building there is a lounge where you can pop in for a beverage before your event. Prices there, not crazy expensive. No food though, only chips from a coin operated machine. Bar is cash only, but there’s an ATM in the lounge if needed. The concert hall is a no-frills set, with a very basic set of lights, but it works. This is a venue where you can be in close proximity to your artist. Staff there, quite friendly. Will come back! Please support live shows and venues like The Wise!
