I have used this hall for many many years and have always found them to be considerate of my needs and have always gone about and beyond to accommodate my booking. They are very reasonably priced and considering they are a 100 year old volunteer run non profit association I think the volunteers and the board are doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work. what you do for the community is as a whole is amazing. I’m sure the senior’s that utilize your facility’s greatly appreciate your hard hard

We understand how frustrating a double booking can be. It effects all industries from hotels, flights, car rentals, restaurants and yes, on occasion, non profit associations staffed by volunteers. Our mission statement is and has always been to provide an affordable venue within the community for cultural celebrations. We are a very busy hall with many enquiries, bookings, cancellation and booking changes. Regretably, when a booking error is realized, we promptly reach out to the renter and offer every possible solution to rectify the situation. This would including a refund, a credit, upgrade to
the larger hall (if available) and/or a complimentary booking for an alternate date. All concerns/complaints are taken seriously. We are here to serve the community.

I was their Resident Caretaker for almost 3 Years.For the First Year, I had the greatest time looking after this 95 year old Character Hall. I was totally Happy as all Hell with the Good Cooperative Attitude I was getting. I did everything as cheaply as possible trying to save the Association as much Money as I could while making sure the Hall was kept as Clean as possible especially the Upper & Lower Entertainment Halls. And I kept the Hall clear of Pests such as Mice & Rats quite successfully (Catching 7 Mice in my Snap Trap Line during the month of December 2022).

I also did as much Work (if not more!) on a Volunteer Basis as any of the Association Members such as Leaf & Snow Removal (having Fun making Military Snowmen!), maintaining the Courtyard, Security Patrol, assisting with Non-Profit Events and Senior Citizen Functions.

Then the President resigned and I became ABUSIVELY MICROMANAGED and had the smallest of Mistakes Rudely constantly pushed into my face and ended up Dismissed despite doing my VERY BEST to satisfy the Association’s Requirements at same time trying my VERY BEST to keep their Customers Happy consistently getting 4 to 5 Star Google Reviews while trying to enforce the Association’s Rules & Regulations and making sure that everything was done as Safely, Professionally and Politely as possible.

I also enjoyed using my various experiences Volunteering for NonProfit Community Festivals to make Customer Events as enjoyable as possible doing things like making ‘Welcome To The Party’ Posters for them and helping them to set up special gear such as Balloon Houses, Buffets and once using my Technical Knowledge & Experience to help figure out how to set up their Dragon Animatronic (Pictures Posted).

With me there answering the Phone, I made sure that Hall Customers got all the the Rental Information as promptly and efficiently as possible thus no one has ever been kept waiting for over a month without their getting their Rental Information. And there never once was a Double Booking causing Customers any Major Inconveniences.

I also always endeavored to make all Customers happy with the amount of Parking that there was available which I was so Successful at that no one attending an Event ever got a single Parking Ticket.

But it was No Fun having to deal with Out Of Control Drunken Crowds (especially 2022’s Christmas Day!!!) without having any Good Reliable Backup! Instead of Good Reliable Backup, I got Knives shoved into my Back by a Group of Sociopathic Executive Members of their Association. I was not immersing myself into the Events, I was doing Safety Monitoring to make sure everything was set up and packed away without any Damage being done to the Walls, Floors and Stage.

I should point out that the Chinese Community Tai Chi Groups can vouch for the fact that I kept the Hall in immaculate order for their Tai Chi Sessions and I whole heartedly thank them for always treating me Honourably and Respectfully. Getting to participate with their Tai Chi Sessions for a time was the Happiest Time I spent in the Hall. It is because of Teresa and her Tai Chi Groups being so Nice that I gave this Hall the One Star that I did give it.

Druid: It would seem that you spend much time continuously reposting your message from a year ago. A post where you felt wronged and dismissed from your caretakers position. Perhaps you are looking for closure. Hoping this post will give you that. Simply put, you were not the right fit for the community of renters we serve. Many complaints that you injected yourself into their event making them very uncomfortable and offered your campensated services in a capacity not approved by the Association. Renters like consistency. Something that diminished during the time you spent as caretaker. I wish you the best and hope this provides the closure you need to move on.

Trash management, double booked me and another party. Now they are forcing me to take a later date they are offering or they give back the deposit. Didnt even give any compensation for their mistake. DO NOT BOOK HERE. MANAGEMENT IS ABSOLUTE HOT MESS.
